Tin Anodes
Tin anodes are used most often in plating and electroplating situations. You can use tin anodes to plate both ferrous and non-ferrous surfaces. The food processing industry uses many pieces of equipment plated with tin because it is non-toxic and corrosion resistant. Tin is an extremely ductile metal so it is can be formed easily into a variety of shapes once it coats the surface of another material.
Tin can be used as a sacrificial anode, but not for steel. It is only appropriate to protect copper, nickel or other non-ferrous metals. It is used most widely as a sacrificial anode in the electronics industry.
Amspec has both hanging and basket tin anodes available in a variety of shapes and sizes. Please inquire about your specific requirements.
