Aluminum Anodes
Aluminum is a lightweight metal with good strength, ductility, and corrosion resistance. Aluminum anodes are often used as sacrificial anodes for many marine applications. The reasoning behind this is that aluminum is reactive enough to act as the sacrificial anode, but not as reactive as other metals like magnesium that can corrode so fast that there can be dangerous consequences to the hull of the boat. In addition, aluminum alloys are environmentally friendly, unlike zinc, which is considered a pollutant.
Aluminum anodes can also be used in water heaters. We have aluminum anodes available in almost any shape or size. Please inquire about your specific requirements.
